Building Your First Site with LPG
When you first login to your LPG member's area you will see a screen like this:
Once you click on this button you will be taken to our "quick start training". On the next page we've include this quick start training so you can look it over and have a better understanding of it.

- Step #1 - Understanding how Lead Page Generator works: LPG (Lead Page Generator) allows you to publish your websites to your own hosting account. Below you'll notice the diagram on how LPG is setup to publish your sites. You have your web browser which LPG is best viewed in Internet Explorer 7 when building your sites.
Next you'll login to the LPG member's area at: http://www.LeadPageGenerator.com/members. You'll now be able to build your sites in the LPG member's area and publish them to your hosting account.
- Step #1 - Setting Up Your Domain Name & Hosting: You can get your domain name anywhere you like. In this training we'll share with you all the services we use and have tested. To keep everything simple and easy to setup you can get your domain name and hosting account at the same place.
We recommend http://www.SimpleDomainTools.com. Here you can choose your domain name and your setup your hosting account. Make sure you get "Linux" hosting and NOT windows. Simple Domain Tools will show you how to point your domain name to your new hosting account you set up with them. You want to make sure you point your domain name to your hosting account. Once you set this up your hosting company will email you the FTP login information so you can access your hosting account.
You will need this information in a little bit (step #2 in the wizard) so make sure you have the following ready to go...
* FTP Username
* FTP Password
* FTP URL (this will be your domain name like this "ftp.YourDomainName.com"
- Step #3 - Setting Up Your Auto Responder System: LPG works with the top four auto responder services online.
* Aweber
* 1ShoppingCart
* Get Response
* InfusionSoft
You will need your auto responder information for step #3 in the wizard. We recommend you setup a campaign in your auto responder account right away. This is where LPG will send all your leads that fill out your form on your LPG site. You will need the following information...
* If using Aweber you'll need the "meta web form ID" and the "unit" numbers. You get these from the form code that Aweber gives you when you create an auto responder campaign.
* If using 1ShoppingCart you'll need the following codes: You'll need the "merchant id" and the "defaultar" (which is your autoresponder number. You will get this information from the form code in 1ShoppingCart.
* If using Get Response you'll need the following code: You'll need the "category1". You will get this information from the form code in Get Response.
* If using InfusionSoft you'll need the following codes: You'll need "Your Name " and the "formid value". You will get this information from the form code in InfusionSoft..

- Ok... at this point you should have the following information on a note pad ready to go:
* FTP URL
* FTP Username
* FTP Password
* Auto Responder Codes
Make sure you have these things written down because we will need them in the next steps. This wraps up step #1 "the foundation" and we're ready to look at step #2...
- When you click on the link at the bottom of this page you'll be taken to your LPG dashboard. This is where you'll start to build your first LPG website and where you'll monitor all the sites you build with LPG.
Here you'll be taken to our wizard which will explain in each step what you need to do on that page. At the bottom of this page you will see the link to click that will take you to the LPG dashboard shown above.
Once you complete the wizard you will see a new row created that has your new LPG site in it.
To the right of each row you will see 5 icons. These icons are listed for each project and clicking on them allows you access to the project details.
= A/B Split Testing & Multi-Variant Testing off. This lets you know there is "NO" testing going on with this project.
= A/B Split Testing & Multi-Variant Testing on. This lets you know "There Is" testing going on with this project. This turn on automatically once you create your first test on your LPG project.
= This icon allows you to edit your pages. Here you would click to add your sales copy and format your pages.
= This icon takes you to the wizard section of LPG for your project. So if you needed to update your auto responder or FTP information, you would click on this icon.
= This icon takes you to the tracking page for this project. Here is where you will be able to see what keywords are making sales and optins. You will also be able to see all tracking and testing related items.
= This icon allows you to delete this LPG project. Clicking this will delete your entire site for the row you're on.
- At this point LPG will have built the overall structure of your site. This will include the following pages already built for you...
* Landing Page
* Optin Page
* Extended Optin Form
* Sales Page
* Up Sell Page
* Down Sell Page
* Thank You Page
Now at this point all you have to do is put in your sales copy on your pages and click the publish icon to upload your site to your own domain.
Once you click on this icon a window will open up (shown below).
When you first upload your site make sure both boxes are checked.
At this point you should have your site online. Now because we used one of the LPG templates it already has the built in optin form in it. And because you filled in your auto responder data in step #3 of the wizard your sites form will now send your leads into your auto responder system.
The purpose of this quick start training was to get your first site online quickly. Once you've master this it's time to watch the videos and go through the manual so we can take you're to the next level.

What you've just gone through is the quick start training. The chapters up until now were designed to get you filmier with the LPG software and establish a basic understanding of how to build your first site.
In the following chapters we're going to go into great detail on how to use the advanced options in LPG and how to really make your LPG pages effective.
